Compliant Poly Bagging, Not Just "Wrapped in Plastic"

Amazon's packaging requirements are specific about bag thickness, suffocation warnings, and when a poly bag is required versus prohibited. We check each product against current requirements before bagging — this catches the cases sellers miss most often: bags without warning labels, bags that are too small for the product, or items that actually need rigid packaging instead of a poly bag.

For multi-unit bundles assembled through our kitting service, shrink wrap or bundle bagging is applied so the finished combo scans and ships as a single sellable unit rather than loose components.

What's Included

  • • Transparent, Amazon-compliant poly bagging sized to the product
  • • Suffocation warning labels applied automatically on qualifying bag sizes
  • • Heat-shrink wrap for bundles, multi-packs, and palletized cartons
  • • Bag thickness and clarity confirmed against current Amazon packaging requirements

Starting Prices

Poly bag with suffocation warning from USD 0.12/unit, and bubble wrap from USD 0.30/unit. Heat-shrink wrap for bundles and multi-packs is quoted per job, since film size and labor depend on the bundle. If a product turns out to need a different method than planned, for example bubble wrap instead of a bag, we tell you before changing anything. See our pricing page for all published starting prices.

How It Works

  1. 1 Check the requirement We review product type, size and fragility against Amazon's packaging requirements: poly bag, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, or a box.
  2. 2 Match bag or film Bag size and gauge are matched to the product dimensions so the bag closes without straining.
  3. 3 Bag or wrap Units are bagged and sealed or heat-shrunk; bundles are wrapped as one sellable unit.
  4. 4 Add the warning Bags with an opening of 5 inches or more get a suffocation warning, printed on the bag or applied as a label.
  5. 5 Label and scan The FNSKU label goes where it can be scanned without opening the bag, and is checked with a handheld scanner.
  6. 6 Pack into cartons Finished units are packed into cartons, and pallets can be wrapped for the freight leg.

FAQ

Do poly bags need suffocation warning labels on every item?

Amazon requires a suffocation warning label on any poly bag with an opening of 5 inches or more. We apply it by default on qualifying bags so this isn't something you have to track yourself.

Can you shrink-wrap multi-unit bundles, not just individual items?

Yes — bundles created by our kitting service are typically shrink-wrapped or bagged as a combined unit so they scan and ship as one sellable item.

What poly bag thickness and clarity do you use?

We use Amazon-compliant transparent poly bags sized to the product, thick enough to prevent tearing in transit. Tell us your product dimensions and we'll confirm the right bag size and gauge before production.

When does a product need bubble wrap instead of just a poly bag?

Fragile items such as glass or ceramics, or anything that could crack or break in transit, usually need protective wrap or a box, not a bag alone. We flag products that look like they need extra protection before packing starts.

Can you use my own printed or branded poly bags?

Yes. If you supply printed bags, we check that they fit the product and carry a suffocation warning where one is required before using them.
