Amazon FBA Prep Service in China: Label, Pack, Inspect and Ship
Since January 1, 2026, Amazon no longer preps or labels units for US FBA inbound shipments. We do all of it in Shenzhen before your goods leave China: labels, bags, bundles, boxes, inspection and freight to the fulfillment center.

Prep at the Source, Not After Freight
FBA prep means getting every unit ready for an Amazon fulfillment center: the right barcode on the right product, bags and bundles that meet Amazon's packaging rules, and cartons that fit its size and weight limits. Since Amazon stopped doing this itself for US inbound shipments, a unit that arrives unlabeled or wrongly prepped can be rejected, repacked at a fee, or stuck in receiving.
We're a packaging factory with a prep line in the same Shenzhen facility. Your goods are prepped before they're shipped, so problems are caught while the supplier is still nearby and before you've paid for freight.
Starting prices: FNSKU label printed and applied from USD 0.08/unit · poly bag with suffocation warning from USD 0.12 · kitting from USD 0.15/kit · 100% inspection from USD 0.06. See all prices

- 2 Inspect A receiving check, AQL sampling or 100% inspection, depending on product value and return risk.
- 3 Prep each unit FNSKU and Transparency labels, poly bags with suffocation warnings, bubble wrap, bundles and inserts, as your listing requires.
- 4 Scan and verify Every label is scanned, matched to the right FNSKU and reconciled against unit counts.
- 5 Carton and label Units are packed into cartons within Amazon's size and weight limits, with FBA carton labels on each box.
- 6 Ship to FBA Sea, air or express to the Amazon fulfillment center, with DDP available so duties are handled before delivery.
Barcode scan verification
Every Label Is Scanned Before It Ships
Printing a label is half the job. Each FNSKU, Transparency code, carton label and product barcode we print or apply is read back with a handheld barcode scanner and checked against your SKU list before the goods are packed.
Readable on the first scan
Each barcode is scanned after printing and after it's applied. A label that won't decode, because of low contrast, a crease, a missing quiet zone or a curved surface, is caught here instead of at Amazon receiving.
Right code on the right product
The scanned value is matched to the FNSKU or SKU for that variant, so a size or color label can't end up on the wrong item and codes from two SKUs can't get mixed.
No duplicate codes
Repeated scans are flagged, so a Transparency code or serial number is never applied to two units.
Nothing missed
Labels applied, units counted and carton contents are reconciled against each other, so every unit is labeled and every carton matches its box contents.
Fixed before packing
Any label that fails a check is pulled, reprinted, applied again and rescanned before the carton is sealed.
Works for 1D barcodes such as Code 128 FNSKU labels, UPC and EAN, and for 2D codes such as Amazon Transparency codes and QR codes.
China Prep vs. a US Prep Center
Both work. The difference is where mistakes get caught and how many legs your freight takes. For a fuller cost breakdown, see China FBA prep vs. US prep centers.
| Prep in China (us) | US prep center | |
|---|---|---|
| When labeling or packing errors are found | Before you pay international freight | After freight and duties are already paid |
| Shipping route | Factory → our facility → Amazon FC | Factory → US prep center → Amazon FC (extra domestic leg) |
| Repacking or new packaging | Boxes made in our own factory, next to the prep line | Packaging bought in and shipped to the prep center |
| Problems with the supplier | Supplier is nearby, so rework or replacement is practical | Goods are already overseas, so rework is hard |
| Labor cost per unit | Generally lower | Generally higher |
| Small urgent top-ups of stock already in the US | Not suitable: goods must ship from China | Faster, because the stock is already local |
FBA Prep FAQ
Does Amazon still prep and label FBA units in 2026?
No. From January 1, 2026, Amazon stopped offering its FBA prep and item labeling services for US inbound shipments. Units must arrive at the fulfillment center already labeled and prepped to Amazon's requirements.
What does an FBA prep service in China include?
Receiving and counting goods, inspection, FNSKU and Transparency labeling, poly bagging and bubble wrap, bundling, cartonizing within Amazon's limits, FBA carton labels, and freight to the fulfillment center. Each step is described on its own service page.
Why prep in China instead of at a US prep center?
Mistakes are found before you pay international freight and duties, there's no extra domestic leg between a US prep center and Amazon, and supplier problems can be fixed while the goods are still near the factory. A US prep center is faster for small top-ups of stock that's already in the US.
How do you prevent wrong, duplicate or unreadable labels?
Every label is scanned with a handheld barcode scanner after printing and after it's applied. The scanned value is matched to the correct FNSKU, repeated codes are flagged, and counts are reconciled against units and cartons. Labels that fail are reprinted and rescanned before the carton is sealed.
Do I need a label printer or my own boxes?
No. We print FNSKU labels, Transparency codes and carton labels from the files you download in Seller Central, and we make retail boxes and shipping cartons in our own factory (from 500 pieces per design).
Can you ship to Amazon fulfillment centers outside the US?
Yes. We prep and ship to Amazon marketplaces including Canada, the UK, the EU, Japan, Australia and the Middle East. Prep rules differ slightly by marketplace, so we follow the requirements for the one you're shipping to.
Can you also handle Walmart WFS or TikTok Shop?
Yes. The same team and prep line handle Walmart Fulfillment Services, TikTok Shop and direct-to-consumer orders.
How much does FBA prep cost?
It's priced per unit by the steps each unit needs. Starting prices: an FNSKU label printed and applied from USD 0.08, a poly bag with suffocation warning from USD 0.12, kitting from USD 0.15 per kit, and 100% inspection from USD 0.06. Freight is quoted per shipment. See the pricing page for the full list.
