Why the Outer Carton Matters More Than It Looks
The shipping carton carries the load: it is stacked in containers and warehouses, thrown in parcel networks and checked at Amazon receiving. A carton that is too big wastes freight volume, one that is too weak crushes, and one over Amazon's size or weight limits can be refused or charged extra.

Shipping Cartons FAQ
Can you repack my supplier's goods into new cartons before they go to Amazon?
Yes. When supplier cartons are oversized, overweight or damaged, we repack the units into new cartons made to size, then apply the FBA carton labels for your shipment.
How do you choose between single-wall and double-wall cartons?
We look at the carton weight, how fragile the product is and how high the cartons will be stacked in transit. Heavier or fragile loads usually need double-wall board; light products are fine in single-wall.
Can carton size reduce my freight cost?
Often, yes. Sea and air freight are charged by volume or chargeable weight, so a carton that fits the units closely and stacks well on a pallet can lower the cost of the same shipment. Our freight calculator shows how volume affects chargeable weight.
Do you print FBA carton labels and shipping marks as well?
Yes. We print and apply the FBA carton labels from your shipment, plus shipping marks and handling labels, and check them before the cartons are sealed.
