What a Color Box Is For
A printed color box is the folding paperboard box your customer sees first: on a shelf, in an Amazon listing photo, or when the parcel is opened. It carries your brand, the product information and often the barcode, and it has to fit the product closely enough to look right and protect it in a shipping carton.
Because we print and make the boxes in-house, the same team checks color, fit and barcode position before mass production, then packs your goods into them. If the box is going to Amazon, the FNSKU or UPC placement is planned at the artwork stage, not fixed with a sticker later. For box strength in transit, the box goes inside a corrugated shipping carton sized to it.
Color Box Styles We Make
Tuck-end boxes
The common retail box with tuck flaps at the top and bottom, for light products such as cosmetics, accessories and supplements.
Auto-lock (crash-lock) bottom
A bottom that locks into place when the box is opened, faster to pack and stronger for heavier items.
Sleeves and wraps
A printed sleeve over a tray or inner box, a simple way to add branding to a plain structure.
Barcode and compliance panels
Space planned in the artwork for the UPC or FNSKU, warnings and origin marking, so nothing is stickered over your design.
Window and hang-tab boxes
A die-cut window that shows the product, and a hang tab so the box can hang on a retail peg hook.
Boxes with inserts
Paper or card inserts to hold the product and accessories in place inside the box.

Printed Color Boxes FAQ
Can you print the FNSKU or UPC barcode directly on the color box?
Yes. We place the barcode in the artwork so it prints with the box, and check that it scans before mass production. If the FNSKU might change later, a printed UPC plus an applied FNSKU label is often the safer choice.
What do I need to send for a printed box quote?
Product dimensions and weight, the box style you have in mind, quantity, and your artwork or brand colors if they are ready. Photos of a similar box you like also help.
Can you design the dieline for my printed box?
Yes. We prepare the dieline for the structure we agree on, and you or your designer place the artwork on it. Our printing guide explains bleed, safe zones and color settings.
Is a printed color box strong enough to ship on its own?
Usually not for parcel or FBA freight. Paperboard color boxes are packed inside corrugated shipping cartons, which carry the stacking and handling load.
